I have been unfaithful, slutting off to other photographic websites and flirting my wares there. It has been an educational journey. I feel I would like to update my gallery a bit, having done so much photography since my last post here. I have been focussing mostly on macro flower photography. I hope you like what I share with you.

I'm leaving for a trip to Scotland in a week. My activities here have been limited because I've had my hands full with two new additions to my family - a Parti-coloured Pomeranian called Georgie and a few months later, a miniature Parti-factored Miniature Pomeranian called Khaleesi. I've also had some problems with my camera and am now the proud owner of a new beauty in the Canon 5D SR that my husband gave me a week ago.
Between a knitting and crocheting craze that totally took me by storm (and yes, I do feel a little old admitting to this), I haven't had much free hands either. I'm hoping to post more in the next few weeks.

Another winter, another looking forward to the beauty of spring and another year to be so grateful for so many things. I am eternally blessed with family and friends that keep me going even when my joints ache and my back goes into spasms. I'm willing to crawl on my knees for a good shot and I'm willing to climb towers and mountains for a breathtaking moment in time forever frozen on my camera.

I have had another awesome trip to Rome. Ten days in beautiful Italy with temperatures soaring to late 30's C and enjoying cooking classes, a trip to Florence, a night visit to the Colosseum, a visit to Tivoli and the Alban hills.

September is the arrival of Spring in the Southern Hemisphere. It is also the month of my birthday. This is the time of year that I truly feel rejuvenated and revived. This latest holiday has added to that feeling. Being in Italy is like going home to me. I am in love with every stone, every cobble, every tree, every flower, every vegetable, every fruit, every colour and everything else. I kick into another gear in Rome. It brings me to a different understanding of Life.

When I take photographs, it is purely to show others this wonderful world through my eyes and through my lens. It is no longer a technical hobby for me.

I am not traveling at the moment. South Africa is entering winter and the only topic my lens finds interesting at the moment is my cats. I am so in love with my two Maine Coons, Bree and Toulouse. They are both very young and I'm documenting their progress into life with photographs.

I hope to bring some variety to my galery soon when I travel to other destinations again, but for now... it is all about CATS.
